I totally agree with Jack. I missed Genghis Khan, a def. top 3 military leader. Patton is very well known but that’s because he lived in more reasent times then the others. And consider Rommel in there aswell, yes he was defeated eventually but his tacticks and the overall idee of Blitzkrieg warfare has to be admired.

Crow, Its human tendency to have the leadership, its our character upon which it depends for what we use it!

How Salahudin, the commander of the Muslim armies that defeated Richard ‘The Lionheart’ and conquered Jerusalem was left out of this list defies logic.

March 24, 2010 - 3:32 am
Being a leader and being a dictator are two different things, Hitler had leadership qualities, but his cause and methods aren’t appropriate enough for him to be mentioned in this list.
May 28, 2010 - 7:22 am
Georgi Zhukov at no. 8 he should be at top 5, the guy never lost a battle. Hitler on the other hand lost the war the day he invaded Russia. Mussolini is all bark no bite. Richard failed in the 3rd crusade, Mao should not be on the list coz, his more of a jealous politician than a commander. Attila the hun was defeated big time and lost his balls for a fight until he got drunk and got poisoned. Genghis khan build the largest land empire in the world he should be at top 5 also. Salahudin never able to defeat Richard. why Richard failed is totally different from his aims of the crusade.

Alexander of Macedon OR Hazrat Umar Farooq (May Allah be pleased with him)
Mystery reveals
We all think that Alexendar was a great conqueror but most of us do not know about a person who was the greatest conqueror in the history of the world, (Hazrat UMAR FAROOQ ). Hazrat Umar Farooq was the greatest conqueror, not Alexander.
>Alexander became king at the age of 20, Conquered Greece, Turkey, Iran, Syria, Jerusalem, Babylon, Egypt, India, Then he went back from Sindh (Pakistan). Western Historians claim that he was the greatest Emperor, warrior and Conqueror. He is known as KING OF KINGS But like many other facts about our religion most of all don’t know that HAZRAT UMAR was the greatest Conqueror of this world.
Here we compare both
>Alexander was the son of a King who was trained by best warriors. He got teachers like Aristotle. But nobody in Hazrat Umar’s fore fathers was king or in power. When he was young he used to take care of Camels, Goats and was a simple person. He never learnt anything from any academy.
>Alexander Conquered 1.7 Million Sq Miles with the help of an organized army in 10 years, but we don’t know that Hazrat Umer Conquered 2.2 Million Sq Miles with and unorganized and untrained Army in same time period (10 years).
>In 10 years, Alexander killed his generals, faced opposition of his own people, many people left him, and in India his army refused to move forward, While in 10 year nobody disobeyed Hazrat Umar. He Suspened Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed in the middle of a war (He is known as the best Muslim General and Army Chief and Saif Ullah (Sword of Allah), He suspended Hazrat Saad Bin Abi Waqas from Koofa’s Governorship. Suspended Hazrat Harath Bin Kaa’ab, He called back the Governor of Hames and asked him to take care of Camels and nobody ever refused him.
Despite of being a king of 1.7 Million Sq Miles area, Alexander could not give any system to the world, but Hazrat Umer gave best system which are in any shape currently implemented in whole world today.
1- He added (Asalat O Khair Min Al-Nom) in Azan.
2- He implemented punishments for using Alcohol.
3- Started Hijri Calendar, Salat Al Taraveeh was started regularly in his time,
4- Gave concept of Prison
5- Gave Salaries for Mo’zans (People who say Azan(Call for Prayer))
6- Arranged lights in Mosques
7- Made Police department
8- Made a complete judiciary system
9- Made Irrigation system
10- Cantonments were made
11- Made a regular Department of Army
12- Tax System was implemented
13- Zakaat was implemented
14- Allowances were paid to children, handicaps and widows.
15- Accountability Department was started for the first time for Governors and Govt. Servants.
Here are some of his sayings
*The king who does ADAL (Accountability) sleeps fearlessly.
*A leader is True servant of Nation.

What about George Washington? He defeated the world’s greatest military power of that time with mostly farmer’s of extremely low morale under his command, with practically no money and few resources.

this is a perfect example of total ignorant racist people that write bullshit history. For a person to think that an asian person like Ghenghis Khan to be a great military leader seemingly unfanthomable. Guess you dont go by facts but feelings and ignorance. OMG really…
